We had an amazing fishing trip with Captain William Risher. His fishing advice was spot-on, and his knowledge of saltwater species really showed throughout the day. He didn’t just put us on fish, he took the time to explain techniques and share tips that made the experience even better. The Grado family of five had a fantastic outing. We landed 10 fish totaling around 60 pounds, enjoyed perfect conditions on the water, and learned a lot along the way. Captain Risher delivers fresh fish, great instruction, and a genuinely fun day on the water. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn, catch fish, and make lasting memories.

We had a great fishing trip from start to finish. We were originally scheduled for Wednesday, but Captain Bill called on Monday to reschedule due to weather, which we really appreciated. We met Tuesday morning and were catching fish within the first hour. Captain Bill kept us on fish most of the morning, and we went home with our limit. He was very knowledgeable, ran a clean boat, and kept hooks baited and lines ready the entire time. Overall, it was an excellent outing, and I would definitely book another trip with him.

We’ve been coming to the Gulf for 17 years, and Bill with It’s a Good Day Charters gave us the best experience we’ve ever had. Our original trip was scheduled during thunderstorms, and Bill worked with us to move it later in the week. When storms popped up again on the new date, he stayed flexible and delayed the trip a few hours so we could fish safely once the weather cleared. It turned into an excellent day on the water. We were catching fish nonstop and brought in around 35 fish total. We went home with plenty of red snapper, and Bill even recommended a local restaurant that cooked our catch for us, which was outstanding. If you’re looking for a reliable captain who truly takes care of his guests, I highly recommend Bill and It’s a Good Day Charters.

Captain Bill was outstanding from start to finish. Having live bait ready before we even left the dock made a huge difference. We skipped the time spent catching bait and went straight to targeting bigger fish. His knowledge of local species and productive spots really showed, and we had fish on the very first cast. We did deal with a few sharks stealing fish along the way, but even so, we came home with plenty and had a great time doing it. Captain Bill also recommended a local hook-and-cook spot, and it turned into the best fish meal I’ve ever had. I highly recommend booking with Captain Bill at It’s a Good Day Charters. I’ll definitely be fishing with him again on my next visit.

I’ve fished on several charters over the years and spent a lot of time researching a captain who could give my two young sons, ages 7 and 8, a truly special first experience. Neither of them had ever been to the ocean or on a boat before, and Captain Bill absolutely delivered and then some. He was kind, knowledgeable, patient, and made both boys feel included from the start. We were fortunate to have one of the nicest days I’ve ever seen on the Gulf of America, and Captain Bill put us right on the fish. The boys reeled in dozens of fish, and along the way we saw dolphins, schools of bonita and mahi mahi, four different snapper species, and even a giant triggerfish. Captain Bill’s boat was spotless and well-equipped with quality rods, reels, tackle, and fresh bait. It was comfortable with plenty of room for myself, my wife, and our two boys. He handled the vessel with confidence and ease, and his knowledge of the Gulf and its fisheries really stood out. His laid-back, relaxed style made the entire day enjoyable. The boys talked nonstop about the trip afterward, which says everything. I can’t recommend Captain Bill enough. If you’re on the fence, book a trip and see for yourself. Captain Bill was fantastic and got us on the fish in no time! He took us to prime spots where he knew we'd have the best chance at catching what we were after. He was knowledgeable, laid-back, and made the trip enjoyable for everyone. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend Captain Bill – we'll definitely be booking with him again on our next trip!

We had an awesome day with Captain Bill, despite the weather not being in our favor, which kept us inshore. He had us try various techniques, and we still managed to catch several different species. We're excited for our next trip and hoping for better weather next time!

This was our first time fishing in the Gulf, and Captain Bill exceeded expectations as our captain, guide, and entertainer. His expertise in both fishing and the local area was impressive. While we caught fish, none were keepers, but it was still a gorgeous day on the water. Despite the slow fishing, Captain Bill did a fantastic job. I also have to mention his boat was spotless—definitely a 10/10!

Captain Bill was friendly, helpful, and hardworking, and most importantly, he knew exactly where the fish were! He had us catching fish all day, kept the bait fresh, and made sure the conversation stayed lively. For half of our group, this was their first charter fishing experience, and they enjoyed it so much they’re already planning their next trip with Captain Bill! Captain Bill did an outstanding job with us. His deep knowledge of the area led us straight to a spot where we started catching fish right away. We consistently hooked fish from the first spot to the last. I highly recommend this charter to anyone seeking a great private fishing trip.
